Shed a Little Blood

Wieden+Kennedy has an internal creative program known as The Goodness Workshop.
Each year, they pick a concept to bring to life visually; this year, it was “process.”
About a dozen designers came together to show how they would visualize their own uniques process. I chose a saying my dad used to use whenever you are in the laborious part of a creative project; “Shed a little blood,” meaning, to end up with anything of value, you have to suffer at least a little. To bring this to life I chose to create a large sign-painted piece in honor of my dad, who was
a successful professional sign painter for many years.
